Welcome to the North Bergen High School Media Center!

About the NBHS Media Center

Your source for books, databases, STEM learning, and a place to relax!

The Media Center is located on
the second floor above the main entrance.

 

It is staffed by
Dr. Welz (Library Media Specialist)
and Ms. Stern-Protz (STEM Specialist)
Mrs. Sekkas (Secretary)

 

We offer books, databases, STEM learning, and a quiet place to relax.
Internet access is also available for curriculum use.

 

Special orientation lectures are given to all students and instruction
involving research strategies and skills is given individually as well as in
groups involving curricula research projects.
The Media Center staff welcomes student volunteer assistance.
Applications to volunteer in the Media
Center are accepted at the beginning of each school year.

Monday - Friday
(Periods 1 - 10)
7:40 am - 3:07 pm

 

(Please note that the Media Center
is closed Period 8 for a class)

Students wishing to use the Media Center
for research purposes or studying may do so

 

  • During your study hall period

  • 1st period, if you have no class

  • Your lunch period

  • 10th period, if you have no class

  • If you are sent by your teacher (you must have a pass from your teacher who sent you)


Attendance will be kept and Study Hall teachers will be informed
of the students’ presence. Study Hall teachers will not issue passes.
Students must report to the Media Center before the late bell.
Students will remain in the Media Center for the full period
including students attending during lunch periods.

 

 

Students may borrow circulating materials by using their student ID
(there is a barcode in the back of your student ID).
Circulating materials may be checked out for two weeks and may be renewed. 
Tardiness in returning items may result in disciplinary action.
