Kristina Gonzalez demonstrates the love for her job and for the students on a daily basis. She has earned the respect of the faculty and the students alike.
 
She was selected the 2017-2018 Teacher of the Year for her commitment to excellence, dedication and hard work. She was also awarded as the 2017-2018 Mathematics Teacher of the year by the Hudson Area Math Alliance for excellence in classroom performance and contributions to the scholarship of teaching mathematics.  Furthermore, she was also awarded a Certificate of Recognition as 2017-2018 Governor's Educator of the year given by the Department of Education, State of New Jersey. 
 
Miss Gonzalez is a doctoral candidate in Mathematics Education  at  Columbia University, New York. She has been inducted to the Quarter Century Club, an exclusive society for  dedicated, loyal and competent teachers.
 
Miss Gonzalez is a multi-awardee of Who's Who among American Teachers. She is nominated by her students every year for her exemplary work and for giving inspiration and for touching their lives. In 2008. she was honored as the Most Outstanding Secondary School  by the Association of Filipino Teachers in America.  In the same year, she was recognized by the Cambridge Who's Who as an honorary member and has qualified for inclusion in the 2018-2019 edition.
 
Her length of service in North Bergen High Schools a strong manifestation that she loves the school and the students in particular. She founded the Mathematics Club which sponsors the Math Quiz Bee annually  and helps students who are not so gifted in math through the tutoring services. She was the moderator of the National Honor Society for 13 years and the financial adviser of the yearbook for 20 years.

Educational attainment: Completed all the academic requirements and passed the Certification Exam for my Doctorate degree in Math Ed at Columbia University, New York
(Teachers College).
