Intro...

Hello! My name is Vanessa Treus and I am a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDT-C) on the Child Study Team in the North Bergen School District. I began teaching Special Education in North Bergen in September of 2008 to June 2014. In September of 2014, I began working on the Child Study Team. I am looking forward to working together as a team, we can motivate, encourage, and make this school year a positive and wonderful learning experience! My goal is to serve as a liaison to educational resources available to your child and you.

Education...

I achieved my Bachelors in Special Education in 2006 and hold a standard Teacher of the Handicapped (K-12) certificate from New Jersey City University. I later achieved my Masters in Learning Disabilities with LDT-C certification in 2013 from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I hold a standard Supervisor certificate that I achieved at St. Peter's University in 2016. Lastly, I also hold a certificate of eligibility for Principal that I have achieved through the NJExcel program in 2020.

As a reminder, it is crucial that parents log on to Parent Portal to find the latest information. Students are also encouraged to log on to their Student Portal. During these times, changes are happening often and together we will get through it!
