NBHS 9th graders, Amy Azogue-Irigoyen and Amy Calderon, received the Literary Award presented by the Prakhin International Literary Foundation, in partnership with New Jersey Commission for Holocaust Education.

9th graders Amy Azogue-Irigoyen and Amy Calderon received the Literary Award presented by the Prakhin International Literary Foundation, in partnership with New Jersey Commission for Holocaust Education.  The foundation's mission is to "support authors engaged in the global fight for democracy, peace, equality of all races and cultures, and the suppression and eradication of fascism and antisemitism".  
 
Their submissions were selected out of all the applicants from the State of NJ.  
 
It was a great evening for parents, students, and North Bergen High School last night at an awards dinner at Bergen Community College. 
 
Congratulations to the students and their Social Studies teacher Mr. Erik Felipe on a job well done!
