Congratulations to Alessandro Funez and Javier Ramdhani on their completion of 10 hours of community service supporting urban farms and gardens through the Junior Master Composter Program and the Youth Urban Farm Club! These programs are provided by Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Hudson County and the 4-H Youth Development Program. Alessandro and Javier have set up a guest speaker to come speak with our NBHS Environmental Club from the Hudson County Improvement Authority, and they will revamp our failed attempt at a compost bin in the school's greenhouse. They have further plans of extending the compost program to faculty/staff and then hopefully the cafeteria and cooking staff!
