Kenny and Cristian, both enrolled in the Independent Scientific Research Honors class and STEM Academy, were each awarded $300.00 for their research. Kenny’s project is titled, "Design and Simulation of an Adaptive Modular Wireless Power Network for Smart Home Surfaces." Cristian’s project is titled, "Wasteland Survivors: Experimental Analysis of Ultraviolet Irradiation on Radiotropic Fungi Growth Dynamics."
Their work was designated by NYIT as having scientific merit and potential impact in the STEM fields. Both students are actively continuing their research and recently competed in the Hudson County STEM Showcase on March 2.
