Welcome back to school! We are celebrating our 10th year at the STEM Academy and want to thank our Administration, Faculty and all of our Alumni and Families for getting us to this moment.
Lots of exciting things in store for 2024-2025!

If I do not answer right away, I may be working on a project, mentoring, in a class or meeting; or perhaps training teachers in STEM and STEAM. I am on call online from 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Seniors of 2025
Finish Brag Sheets - meet with Mrs. Marto, keep working on Research Projects. We will be putting together our NSF Boiling Water on Heat Plates 2024-25 team in September. GREAT for your senior portfolio!
Juniors and Sophomore Classes of 2026 and 2027
PSAT is in October for Juniors, and Spring 2025 for Sophomores and Freshmen.
You have an abundant amount of time at home to go through the classroom posts and look at the programs lists. Summer program listings begin in the fall, as well as college/university pre-college programs.

Established in 2015, the North Bergen STEM Academy is a college preparation program for those students who are ready to pursue STEM and related careers through an accelerated and rigorous course curriculum.

Stephanie Stern-Protz is an Experiential Learning and STEM.STEAM Learning Specialist. She is a NASA Endeavor Fellow, Goddard CCRI Education Ambassador, and has participated as a judge in several local, and national science competitions. She is also the 2022 recipient of the Social Emotional Learning Award by the American Consortium for Equity in Education.
Steph has presented at National and International Science/STEM Conferences and works on Competition preparation in STEM.
Steph looks forward to more wonderful experiences at STEM Academy.
