I have been working as a Special Education teacher for 34 years. I have a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in Special Education from New Jersey City University. I have a Supervisor’s Certificate from New Jersey City University.

Course Description:
This course aims to equip teenagers with essential financial management skills to foster responsible decision-making regarding money. Through interactive discussions, practical exercises, and real-life scenarios, students will learn life skills, budgeting, saving, investing, and understanding credit.
Course Objectives:
- Understand the importance of financial literacy.
- Identify personal goals.
- Learn how to create and manage a budget
- Differentiate between needs and wants.
- Understand the importance of saving.
- Learn strategies for building and emergency fund.
- Learn about different types of bank accounts (checking, savings).
- Understand how to use online banking responsibly.
- Define credit and its importance.
- Learn about credit scores and reports.
- Understand basic investment concepts (stocks, bonds, mutual funds).
