Meet Ms. Castro

Hello and welcome to the 2026-2027 school year!

My name is Ms. Castro, an ELA teacher at North Bergen High School. A little bit about me: I love to write, read, draw, watch anime, and play video games. I also love animals; at home, I have five dogs, a cockatiel, and a bearded dragon.

People often think that ELA is all about "boring" books and learning how to write essays. In reality, it's so much more than that. Books have changed the life of individuals all over the world. Sometimes, they have inspired people to write their own. Who knows-- maybe a book or poem we read together this year will motivate you to do the same!

I am very excited to begin my journey with you all. If you need anything from me, please don't hesitate in reaching out and writing me an email at [email protected]
