About me

I have been teaching in the North Bergen School District since 2007 where I started teaching at Kennedy School.  In 2011, I was assigned to the High School where I've been ever since.

I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from New Jersey City University and a Master in Art Education (MA) from Nova South Eastern University. I am also Certified as a Programming Analyst from Chubb Institute and Columbia University.

Prior to becoming a teacher I was a Senior Programming Analyst at IBM, Prudential Financial Services and finally for the Depository Trust Clearing Corporation (DTCC) on Wall Street. In addition, I owned and operated a Carvel Ice Cream store in Union City, NJ.

Throughout my corporate and teaching career, I have continued to pursue my passion as a visual artist.  My artwork has been exhibited extensively around the United States and have appeared in various newspapers, magazines and television shows.  I am currently being represented by different galleries in New York, New Jersey and Florida. Among my solo shows, I have also participated in numerous group shows throughout the metropolitan area.  As well as New York Comic Con, East Coast Comic con and Heroes and Villains fest.  I was chosen one of 30 artists to represent the state in "The Visual Imaginary of Latina/os in New Jersey", sponsored by Rutgers University's Center for Latinos Arts and Culture.

My work is in various private collections including the Jersey City Museum in Jersey City, NJ, The Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University, The Museum of Modern Religious Art at the University of St. Louis in St. Louis, MO and the Museo Moderno de Arte, Santo Domingo, RD.
