Goals:

Using the Next Generation Science Standards as part of the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards, you will develop understanding of key concepts that help make sense of Biology. The five science topics are 1) Structure and Function 2) Inheritance & Variation of Traits 3) Matter & Energy in Organisms and Ecosystems 4) Interdependent Relationships in Ecosystems and 5) Natural Selection & Evolution

Evaluation:

40% = Tests, Quizzes, Projects

25% = Classwork

20% = Participation & Attendance

15% = Homework

Chapters by Marking Period:

MP 1 = Chapters 1,2,3 and 4

MP 2 = Chapters 5,6,7, 10 and parts of 3

MP 3 = Chapters 8,9,12,13 and parts of 32

MP 4 = BCT Review

Evolution Chapters ( chapters 14-18)

Ecology Chapters ( chapters 19-22)

Environmental Science ( chapter 23)

Dissections ( chapters 34-45)
