Teacher Expectations

Health and Physical Education >> In short, I expect my students to learn and participate. I expect good attendance and expect them to be prepared for all classes.  I am a teacher, not a baby sitter. I teach all Seniors. They are young adults and I expect them to act that way and take responsibilities for their actions.

Health Education :   First Aid and Basic Life support

I expect my students to come to class on time and be ready to work.  There is no reason for a student not to gain an ECSI certification in First Aid and basic Life Support.  (  CPR – RESCUE BREATHING – OBSTRUCTED AIRWAY MANAGEMENT- AND THE USE OF AN A.E.D. )

Students need to maintain good attendance and take notes every day on the subject matter.  This is a “Hands On” coarse and students will be expected to show proficiency in practical skills and written material.  Much of the material will be posted on my Google Classroom Pages.  Parents are welcome to view the materials.

Physical Education :

Students are expected to be in class, on time, and prepared every day. I will not tolerate students being unprepared.  They will need to change into appropriate physical education attire for each class.  They will be expected to participate in each class to the best of their ability.  I am here to teach and lead. I will not baby sit 17 and 18 year old young adults.  There is no reason why a student cannot achieve a grade of 100 at the end of each marking period.

Physical Education is a PARTICIPATION class.  The student must be IN SCHOOL, PREPARED FOR CLASS WITH THE APPROPRIATE ATTIRE AND PARTICIPATE TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITY.

Through the year classes will include many different sports activities with an emphasis on fitness and conditioning, including weight room and different activities involving cardio- vascular activities.
