Sports and Entertainment Marketing
Sports and Entertainment Marketing is an advanced marketing course designed to provide the foundation in the Sports and Entertainment Industries. The course provides awareness to students who have an interest in furthering their education or seeking employment in the Sports or Entertainment fields. Areas to be covered include: Core Standards of Marketing, Sports Marketing, Entertainment Marketing, Marketing Mix, Target Marketing, Economics of Professional Sports Teams and Collegiate Sports, Economics of Movies and Television, Marketing Plans.
Class Supplies Needed: Students need to bring a spiral notebook (college ruled) to class every day. It can be single or multi subject. Students must also bring a pencil and pen to class each day. All students must bring their Chromebook and a charger, as well.
The class has started Chapter 1 of the textbook - What is Sports and Entertainment Marketing? Students will learn the basics of marketing and how it impacts the Sports and Entertainment industries. Chapter 1 focuses on the marketing mix and the core standards of marketing.
