Sports and Entertainment Marketing

Sports and Entertainment Marketing is an advanced marketing course designed to provide the foundation in the Sports and Entertainment Industries. The course provides awareness to  students who have an interest in furthering their education or seeking employment in the Sports or Entertainment fields. Areas to be covered include: Core Standards of Marketing, Sports Marketing, Entertainment Marketing, Marketing Mix, Target Marketing, Economics of Professional Sports Teams and Collegiate Sports, Economics of Movies and Television, Marketing Plans.
The students are studying Chapter 5 - Marketing-Information Management. They learn about marketing information systems and different types of data.The students also learn about the research process and ethics in research. Ultimately, they understand how to turn market research into action in the sports and entertainment industries.
